Are you interested in supporting prison based adult learners, to help them develop and achieve, both in their formal education and ongoing rehabilitation.

Milton Keynes College have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Prison Education team at HMP Erlestoke on a part time basis. The working hours would be Monday and Thursday all day (08:00-17:00 and Tuesday afternoons (12:00-17:00)

As a successful Learning Support Assistant, you will provide inspirational learning support to small groups of prison based learners and sometimes also on a 1:1 basis. This will require a holistic approach to highlight specific learning needs and improving learner skills. Your focus will be on additional learning support (ALS), Maths and English support, leading to employability outcomes, with effective target setting to meet individual needs.

You will be passionate, creative and empathetic towards our learners and be able to offer knowledge and guidance. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working across the whole prison estate, on all wings where education is delivered.
