Permanent, full time
Term Time plus 1 week

Great Yarmouth Charter Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and responsible higher level teaching assistant to support our pupils in our Alternative Provision.

You will provide support with personal and social development, and the delivery of academic and needs-based sessions that help young people to build the self-esteem, skills, and aspirations they need to successfully re-engage with the school.

This is not a traditional classroom assistant role and would suit candidates with experience of alternative education and/or youth work. The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise and work consistently using their own initiative, high levels of resilience and good humour, and clear and sensitive communication skills.

You will be part of a team with an unconditional positive regard for young people. We believe that all students should be able to achieve the best outcomes, regardless of their backgrounds, and that this happens through high standards of support, teaching, and wider provision. You will share this view and understand the importance of this, alongside supporting our high expectations for all.
