Tuckswood Academy and Nursery are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support and work mostly across KS2. An interest in teaching Music and ICT would be an advantage.

Tuckswood Academy believes that all children have a right to a good education and it is our responsibility to ensure that the curriculum at this academy is made accessible to all.

As part of the Boudica Schools Trust you will be included in a family of academies who put the needs of children at the forefront of their education.

Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to display enthusiasm, energy, good humour, flexibility and reliability. You should also have the ability to work independently as well as part of a busy team.

Working as a HLTA is a great opportunity for gaining experience and is becoming a preferred method for prospective teachers to successfully secure places in either Teaching Schools or on a PGCE course.

The Academy is part of the Norwich Teaching School Alliance and therefore there will be many opportunities for further professional development.

Informal telephone conversations are encouraged, please email Rachael Spaans at to arrange a convenient time.
