pro rata to term time + inset days, 37 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Assistant Science Technician, to join our dedicated and committed Science Department. You need to be determined to drive up standards, have a positive approach to your work life and be committed to making a difference.
What we are looking for:
· A strong work ethic and a passion for Science;
· The ability to conduct tasks quickly with a keen eye for detail;
· Experience of setting up equipment in a laboratory environment for practical lessons;
· A good knowledge of CLEAPSS and COSHH laboratory safety regulations;
· An excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
Your responsibilities will involve:
· Preparation of materials for science lessons and equipment for practical sessions;
· Maintenance of science equipment;
· Storage and disposal of chemicals and resources (in line with Health & Safety regulations)
· Maintaining a safe and organised prep room;
· Assisting with demonstrations in conjunction with science teachers
