JOB PURPOSE
The Strategy Intern will support all strategic planning and strategic initiatives at JFD. The role will involve research, analysis, writing and communication. The team will offer the Strategy Intern the necessary training and support required to experience the work involved in developing and implementing strategy within a complex corporate environment operating in several challenging markets.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy Development, Activation & Communication:
Supporting the Head of Strategy and Strategy, Sales & Marketing Director with:
- Research and documentation preparation to enable the business to conduct annual strategy reviews.
- Market intelligence gathering and analysis to support strategic planning activities.
- Running strategic planning meetings and follow-up communications including taking minutes, distributing and following up on actions, consolidating reports and creating presentations.
- Development and distribution of quality communications to be used throughout the company to inform and engage all stakeholders with strategic planning activities.
- The organisation of the strategy function including meeting arrangements and report generation
Corporate Development Activities
Supporting the Head of Strategy and Strategy, Sales & Marketing Director with:
- Corporate development activities including researching international markets, government and legal requirements, competitors and possible target acquisitions
- Preparing high quality documentation including summary analysis of often complex/sizeable information to support decision making.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree educated or undertaking degree level study in a relevant discipline (eg. Business, law, economics, marketing)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Have a creative flair with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Powerpoint and Excel (to at least intermediate level)
This is a 6 month intern position, based at JFD in Inchinnan and is an opportunity for a recent graduate that has had their employment affected by COVID19.
