Maintenance Technician

You will provide technical support for all shop floor equipment (manual, automated and test equipment) to ensure that the organisation is able to fulfil its commitments to its customers, in terms of product delivery, by ensuring that Quality, Availability and Productivity maintain the required performance levels.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain health, safety and environmental standards in accordance with Apollo procedures and support compliance and initiatives, such as; quality (ISO 9001), safety and environmental management (ISO 14001), 5S, lean, yield management, and cost containment.
  • Exhibit the company values and fully support the organisation’s strategic initiatives
  • Provide support for all automated equipment / processes, general production equipment, tools, jigs and fixtures (repair and maintenance).
  • Support the Maintenance Engineer in the creation of operating procedures, preventative maintenance procedures and records.
  • Ensure input of maintenance and calibration records are detailed and accurately maintained to ensure continued compliance with our quality management system.
  • Analyse and continually improve equipment performance (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) by working with Production Staff and Engineering, and by monitoring rework and scrap levels.
  • Monitor both Rework and Scrap levels from automated processes, identifying root causes and improvement initiatives.
  • Utilise the automated reporting tools to analyse and improve equipment performance.
  • Implement best practice in co-ordination with the Team Leaders and Maintenance Engineer.
