MK College Group are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant who has a holistic approach to highlighting specific learning needs. You will be part of the Education Team based on site at HMP Bullingdon.

As a successful Learning Support Assistant, you will provide inspirational learning support to small groups of learners and on a 1:1 basis. Your focus will be on Maths and English and improving learner skills, leading to employability outcomes, with effective target setting to meet individual needs.

You will be a passionate, creative and empathetic towards our learners and be able to offer knowledge and guidance to our learners.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working across the whole prison estate, on all wings where education  is delivered.

ABOUT HMP BULLINGDON

Bullingdon Community Prison is situated near the village of Arncott in Bicester, Oxon. HMP Bullingdon is a complex prison that has a number of functions.  It is categorized as a local category B prison which a category C resettlement function. HMP Bullingdon has the capacity to hold 1114 offenders all serving a range of sentences from remand to life, with the average length of stay between 3 and 6 months.

The College works closely with our prison colleagues to deliver short to medium courses that help prepare learners for employment upon release.  Courses include: English and Maths Functional Skills (Entry 2 to Level 2), ICT, Cookery, Hospitality, Business, Self-Employment, Painting & Decorating, Horticulture, Paving, Mentoring and Barbering.
