At Hollybank Trust our mission statement is to provide education, residential care, plus a range of therapies and enrichment activities for children, young people and adults with profound and multiple disabilities. At Hollybank we focus on ability not disability, and we celebrate our differences.

2024 sees us celebrating our 70th anniversary as a Trust, and we are seeking an experienced and proactive person to join our Senior Management Team based in West Yorkshire. The Head of Adult Residential Services role is a varied and exciting one, ideal for someone with operational experience and a strategic but flexible approach to working.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the requirements of CQC registration and compliance, a commitment to personalised care and support, and proven experience of managing multi-site staff teams; establishing and effectively monitoring performance to meet targets and KPI’s – ideally in a Learning Disabilities environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for overall operational oversight in Adult Residential Services.
  • To line manage, motivate, inspire, empower and develop the registered managers in Adult Residential Services, role modelling the Hollybank values at all times.
  • To support the managers to develop their own teams, culture and working environment to aid staff retention and to support outstanding person-centred care.
  • Develop a high performing residential management team, where managers feel empowered to deliver person centred care aligned to Hollybank’s vision.
  • As a senior leader, to develop, share and implement the vision for outstanding care in Adult Residential Services.
  • To be an effective and positive Senior Manager, working collaboratively as a member of the joint SMT and Exec.
  • To operate with commercial awareness and appropriate financial controls to ensure the services deliver outcomes aligned to the commissioned contract.
  • To monitor, review and report on Adult Operations KPIs to the Director of Operations regularly and in the senior management/Exec meeting fortnightly.
  • To ensure root cause analysis takes place for any concerns or complaints raised and that action is taken to deliver a ‘lessons learnt’ activity to improve for the future.

This is not an exhaustive list, so you are encouraged to read the full job description prior to applying for this role. Informal queries and site visits are encouraged – come and see what we do and what it’s like to be part of our team.
