Deputy Head of Curriculum: Foundation English and Maths

Hours: 37 hours per week 
Salary: £41,448 per annum. Plus generous benefits. These include:

About the role 

We are currently seeking a new Deputy Head of Curriculum, with a specialism in English, to join our team. As the Deputy Head of Curriculum, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Curriculum in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the English, Maths, ESOL and Pathways strategy across College, with a strong focus on the English delivery within the curriculum. You will have the opportunity to work alongside, and manage, an established team of tutors to provide our students with an exceptional educational experience. Working at all times in accordance with College Values, and through effective planning, you will deliver high quality teaching learning and assessment, and provide effective support to students and staff. 

About the person 

You will possess a Level 3 qualification in English (or above), a Certificate in Education/ PGCE/ DTTLS or equivalent, and Maths GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent). You will have a track record of successfully teaching GCSE English Language (AQA 8700), be able to evidence strong outcomes for students, and possess a knowledge and understanding of current developments in FE and in the curriculum area.
