Full & part-time Lifeguard/Recreation Assistants
Full-time : 40 hours per week on a rota basis (incl evenings and weekends)
Part-time : various shifts available (evenings and weekends)

FTE pay £16,968-£18,492 depending on skills, qualifications and experience
Pro-rata for part-time to reflect the hours worked

It is an exciting time to join us.   We have made a significant investment our Health & Fitness Centre at Cheltenham Ladies’ College.  It is now fully operational and, due to expansion, we wish to recruit more Lifeguards/Recreation Assistants to join the busy team.   

The Centre is open to College pupils, paying members and visitors.  The role will work within a team on a rotation basis to lifeguard the swimming pool, creating a safe, fun and clean environment for those using it. You will assist in the gym and fitness suites ensuring all activities run effectively, welcome visitors and members at reception as well as ensure that the changing rooms and facilities are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness.

For many visitors this is the first physical contact that they will have with Cheltenham Ladies’ College and key to the role is providing a professional, welcoming and knowledgeable impression with the focus being on customer service.   To be considered for the role, you will be an effective team player and communicator with good customer service skills.  You will ideally hold a Royal Life Saving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, although training can be provided where appropriate.  Level 2 Fitness, Strength & Conditioning qualifications are desirable as are Class qualifications in Spin, Pilates, Circuits or Yoga. The Health & Fitness Centre is open Monday to Sunday including evenings and so reliability, a flexible attitude and the ability to work unsociable hours is a must.

09.00 to 12.00; 10.00 to 13.00; 12.00 to 15.00; 15.00 to 21.00, 15.30 to 21.00
