Cook Required Residential Care Home - Bank

Reporting to the Home Manager the successful candidate will be an organised and helpful leader in a busy kitchen environment. Working from newly created menus you will be responsible for organizing, preparing and serving appetizing and freshly produced food, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.

Key to your success in this role will be your experience within the food industry, along with the ability to build a strong team spirit in the kitchen. Experience in a care hospital or school environment would be desirable but not essential.

What we're looking for:
-NVQ Level 2 or 706/2 in Catering
-Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate
-knowledge of textured/modified diets would be an advantage

About the home
Set in 11 acres of magnificent gardens in the Berwickshire countryside, Lennel House provides enhanced residential care for older people and adults. Half a mile from the town of Coldstream in the Scottish Borders, the home’s picturesque location offers stunning views over the River Tweed and Cheviot Hills which both residents and relatives can enjoy. The house was originally built around 1820 and its impressive architecture and features have been retained, whilst providing all of the modern equipment and facilities required by our residents with limited mobility and other specialist needs.
At the home we cater for up to 38 people with a variety of care needs such as dementia, enhanced residential, residential and respite care.

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
