Spring Gardens is a 40-bed service for people who have been homeless in the borough of Lewisham. We provide intensive support to people who have experienced/are experiencing a range of issues. These can include: complex trauma, problematic alcohol use, problematic drug use, mental ill-health and physical ill-health. The role of the service is to support those who live within it to move forwards with their lives. The site was purpose-built in 2009 around a landscaped garden:

We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to be a part of our 4 person (including manager) kitchen team. The role requires someone who works well within a team but is also comfortable – after a suitable period of induction – maintaining the running of the kitchen for periods on their own. Skills required for this role include being able to cook for large numbers of people, having excellent prioritisation skills, being highly competent at stock taking and recording keeping, particularly in relation to key aspects of health and safety.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development
If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
