Job Title:                 Deputy Head of Department – Aerospace           

Contract:                 Permanent, Full Time           

Salary:                     £49,489 per annum

Hours:                     37

Location:                 Across Campus      

 

An exciting opportunity had arisen within Cardiff and Vale College’s Aerospace department for a Deputy Head of department. Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving improvements to the quality of provision, learner success rates, and the learner journey.

The successful candidate will drive the College values of Quality, Efficiency and Growth; have an excellent knowledge and successful track record of working within the departmental field and be able to demonstrate delivery and management of financial/budgetary sustainability as well as adherence to College and departmental KPI’s.  We are looking for someone with a knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting the Education sector within Wales who can manage people effectively but also has the ability to analyse data and communicate complex issues to a wide range of audiences.

In addition, the successful candidate will hold an appropriate vocational or academic qualification such as degree, HNC/D or equivalent qualification and a recognised teaching qualification.

Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
