Senior Commissioner

We have an opportunity for someone to join us within the Strategy, Insight and Commissioning Team within Family Services. Managing a diverse range of commissioned services, you will take the lead in developing and implementing plans to improve outcomes for children and young people.
As a Senior Commissioner, you will;
- Take the lead on commissioning across all stages of the commissioning cycle, ensuring that the voice of children and young people is incorporated at every stage of the process
- Be responsible for a wide portfolio of commissioned services within social care and early help
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic and operational partners
- Ensure that commissioned services deliver high quality outcomes to address local priorities
As a Senior Commissioner, you will have extensive experience of leading on commissioning and procurement activity, including negotiation with providers and holding them to account in order to drive service improvement. You will also be able to understand national and local drivers, translate these into commissioning intentions, and be able communicate this to a wider audience. You will have experience of analysing performance, financial and service user information to aid the commissioning and procurement process.
A background in children, young people or family services would be desirable, but is not essential.

Role is currently based at North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP but will be moving to 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW next year April 2020.
