Milton Keynes College are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People Services Team on a fixed term contract until March 2019.

As a Regional HR Business Partner, you will work proactively in partnership with managers and other colleagues to provide operational HR support. Key responsibilities for the HR Business Partner position will be supporting, change management and ER.

This is a regional HR role; you will be visiting our prison education teams across the East Midlands 2-3 times per week; Sites you will be visiting include HMP Gartree, HMP Leicester, HMP Nottingham, HMP Ranby, HMP Stocken, HMP Sudbury and HMP Whatton. You will be providing advice and guidance on employee relations, organisational development and talent management to enable staff to put learner’s success at the heart of what we do.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our People Services Team, who are all committed to providing a comprehensive service to support our staff in building a truly outstanding education institution.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £34,600 pro rata
Fixed Term Contract until March 2019

As a successful candidate you will:

A good basic education including GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English
Minimum of Level 5 CIPD working towards level 7 or equivalent experience
Extensive employee relations experience, including managing complex cases and tribunals
Experience of working in a regional role
Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships with key contacts, including providing remote support
Demonstrate a credibility of knowledge and expertise as an HR professional
Be accurate, thorough and maintain high standards to ensure a quality proactive HR service is provided at all times
Work flexibly across the regions to support the wider team as required
Computer literate, with the ability to use people data to influence change
Have the ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of the wider team to ensure effective collaboration and contribution to the overall reputation of People Services
This position requires regular travel between sites and the main office in Milton Keynes and candidates should have access to their own vehicle to fulfill the duties of the role.
