Do you have aspirations to be a future leader?  Do you want to work with and learn from an organisation that has a critical role in making Greater Manchester a better place to grow up, get on and grow old?  Are you excited to work at the heart of the UK’s largest and most dynamic city-region?  We are seeking talented individuals with big ambitions to join our new Leadership Development Programme.

Our Programme has been designed to challenge you as well as give you vital experience, with a chance to complete a number of placements across the organisation offering opportunities to gain exposure to real business challenges, as well as gaining a formal management qualification by completing a fully funded Degree in Management and Business, all whilst receiving coaching from experienced managers, a dedicated mentor and buddy.  The Programme lasts four years and after successful completion you are expected to be appointed to a role leading and developing a team to tackle some of the key transport issues the region faces.

Greater Manchester is embarking on an exciting period of transition and evolving with a growing population and economy, with public transport central to providing new connectivity.  Our vision is to have “World class connections that support long term, sustainable economic growth and access to opportunity for all”.

You will have (or be expected to achieve) a minimum of 2 A levels equating to 104 UCAS tariff points or equivalent qualifications. You will also require Maths and English Language GCSE grade A*-C/9-5.  You will have strong analytical reasoning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to organise and schedule your time effectively, effective team working and a commitment to your own personal development.  You must also be a resident within the Greater Manchester boundary.

Joining the Programme you will start on a salary of £18,240 per annum which will be reviewed every April.
