We’re a world-class brand and packaging design company with more than 123 years in the business. You'll be responsible for...
- Working closely with the Financial Controller and the finance team reporting on any problem areas
- Following financial procedures, so that deadlines are met, and financial controls are adhered to. Any deviations should be dealt with promptly and reported to the Financial Controller
- Controlling the company’s credit card expenses system.
- Submitting month-end data to Sun Chemical group through the Magnitude reporting package, ensuring that the data is extracted correctly from the financial accounting system, and that the final reports are reconciled back to the underlying data
- Understanding the Fixed Asset system and perform the monthly procedures.
- Reconciling all inter-company balances with the appropriate company and all control account balances are kept up to date
- Performing initial tax calculations, both on a monthly and annual basis
- Reconciling, producing and filing the VAT Returns each quarter
- Reconciling all balance sheet accounts, deal with discrepancies, and ensure that major variations are notified to the Financial Controller
You'll have
- Previous experience in accounting transactions
- At least a part qualification of a recognised accountancy qualification
- A good knowledge of Excel
- Up-to-date knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards
