At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. We support men and women across Southern England through more than 200 Projects; including emergency, hostel and supportive housing projects, advice services and specialist physical health, mental health, skills and work services.

We are a new to Bournemouth but we have already expanded from acquiring one service in April 2016, to now having three in the area. We are currently seeking three highly motivated and committed individuals, to come and join us in shaping and developing our Mental Health service.

As Case/Support Workers, you will be working to support clients with their mental health and other related support needs, in a residential setting in central Bournemouth, which is staffed 24 hours. The focus of the service is to work collaboratively with clients, supporting them in a safe and supportive environment in developing goals, plans and strategies to better manage their mental health and any associated risks.

In this role you will be involved in undertaking key working activities; such as taking referrals, conducting assessments and booking clients in. You will also have a specific remit of promoting good health amongst those who use the service. Other duties include day to day housing management and health & safety tasks.

To succeed, you will have an understanding of the needs and support requirements of people with Mental Health and other associated needs. You’ll also have the ability to establish an effective working relationship with these clients, be client centred and possess the skills to carry out comprehensive assessment and action plans. Having knowledge and understanding of the statutory, voluntary and consumer led services in Bournemouth, is also required.

You will be working a shift rota that includes evenings, weekends, Bank holidays and sleep
