Hewett Academy

Hewett Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and reliable Art Technician with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our department. If you are enthusiastic about Art and Design and enjoy inspiring others, this is a wonderful opportunity to use your skills and develop your experience within a friendly team.

As well as providing general support to the faculty, you will assist in lessons and must therefore be able to relate well to both staff and students. You will be well-organised and a team player with the ability to work independently.  This role may also be suitable for recent higher or further education graduates, as well as more experienced candidates.

Relevant experience within a secondary school setting is desirable although appropriate training will be provided.

Hewett Academy is one of the most iconic schools in Norwich. We were graded as a ‘good’ school by Ofsted in our last inspection. Since then we have built strong relationships with our community and pride ourselves on being a highly inclusive school in which children from all backgrounds work alongside the most diverse student population in Norwich. Our students demonstrate respect for each other and their teachers through calm and purposeful attitude around school, in lessons and during Hewett Lunch. We aspire to bridge the disadvantage gap for which the four pieces our students exhibited in the Royal Academy of Arts last year are a testament. This is achieved through our dedication to our community and the ambitious and broad knowledge-rich curriculum we provide. Once you are part of Hewett, you always will be - come and join the family.

As part of the Inspiration Trust, twice ranked the top comprehensive schools group for pupil progress to GCSE, we offer high-quality, personalised professional development in addition to excellent career development opportunities. You will have the opportunities to help your career flourish, in a supportive and stimulating environment.
