We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced counsellor to work at Bedales School, a beautiful independent boarding school in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The role is to provide independent and confidential counselling sessions to students in accordance with the schools counselling policy, bolstering the pastoral system of the school and providing consistency of care. You will work closely with the school Health Centre, the School DSL and fellow counsellors, and help to refer to alternative mental healthcare when the need is identified.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills; post graduate Diploma or Masters level in Counselling or Psychotherapy, further therapeutic training of qualification in working with young people and an understanding of a humanistic approach to counselling. A knowledge of the developmental, emotional, social and educational issues of young people is required, as well as knowledge of local mental health and CAMHS Service.

 

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 09.00 hrs – 18.00 hrs.
