We have an opportunity for an experienced, collaborative Product Manager to join our team!

You will be playing a critical role to support the Apollo businesses in achieving its strategic initiatives and targets. Helping to develop and maintain global market strategies for the audio visual (AV) product ranges with a focus on product, market, and customer needs.  

This role is based between our Havant (Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd) and Alton (Cranford Controls) sites.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Interact with the internal and external audiences to clearly understand the market requirements and perceptions of the Apollo / Cranford / Argus AV portfolio.
  • Analyse the market and competition with a view to ensure product leadership.
  • Recommend and document new product opportunities. Review, justify and quantify all new product opportunities and propose ideas for development that fit within the business strategy.
  • Propose comprehensive AV product and market plans.
  • Full end-to-end product ownership through the entire NPD process and product lifecycle; NPD documentation, go-to-market plans, pricing, Alpha & Beta testing, obsolescence, among others.
  • Be the responsible person for overall management and resolution of sustaining related issues. For example, working with Apollo / Cranford Quality / Operations / Technical teams to resolve issues and be accountable for driving through the appropriate AV related change orders.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Substantial product management experience with a track record of achievement.
  • Experience in managing product portfolios through the entire lifecycle.
  • Customer focused but data driven with a wide range of analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently.

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • Fire industry experience.
  • Technical background.
