We have an opening for a full-time member of staff in our wonderful Occupational Therapy team and we would leave to hear from you!

Hollybank Trust is a charitable organisation providing Therapy, Residential, Nursing Care & Support to people with complex physical needs and associated learning disabilities. The Occupational Therapy Team is based at our main site in Mirfield, West Yorkshire as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team which includes Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Nurses, Enrichment & Social Care colleagues. All our services are unique, being tailored to suit the needs of adults and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and physical disabilities, and our teams work hard to ensure that the standards of care and support are consistent and of high quality.

This developing role includes undertaking person-centred assessments for specialist equipment to support the independence and safety of our residents. You will also have the opportunity to assess sensory needs & advise on support for behaviours that challenge, working in collaboration with care staff & other therapists. This is in partnership with completing task analysis’ for increasing residents’ participation in meaningful activities of daily living including self-care & leisure to contribute to their personalised care plans.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated clinician to join and complement our professional and supportive team. You will be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will receive support from the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist and a team of experienced & well-established colleagues.

We have a genuine commitment to training and development and post holders are expected to develop themselves professionally in line with both current and future service needs and requirements. The successful candidate will have access to regular supervision and training and be encouraged to participate in a variety of development opportunities including providing support for students.

In addition to our main site in Mirfield we also have a small number of homes in West & South Yorkshire which you will be required to visit occasionally therefore it is a requirement that the applicant holds a full driving licence and is a car driver.
