The Inclusive Schools Trust is looking to appoint four enthusiastic, approachable and hardworking Nursery Practitioners for the new nursery set to open on 1 September 2021 at Drayton Community Infant School. 

The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the nursery ensuring the emotional, educational and physical well-being of the children entrusted to the care of the nursery. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the planning, development and supervision of suitable programmes of activities to cater for each child’s individual needs. 
  • To keep up to date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. 
  • To ensure the nursery is clean and tidy throughout periods of operation. 
  • To assist with the preparation of snacks for young children, including supervising meal times. 
  • To positively promote parental partnership and liaise with parents/carers on a daily basis regarding their child’s development and behaviour. 

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience: 

  • A relevant childcare qualification. 
  • Experience of working with children under 5 years old. 
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications. 
  • Basic food handling certificate.
