We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Operations Team!
You’ll be playing a critical role in a fast pace and multi-disciplined environment. This is your unique opportunity to be part of important projects, such as automation solutions.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Cross supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team to deliver automated solutions.
- Carrying out initial release H&S risk assessments for equipment and processes.
- Control drawing packages for all equipment procured or produced by the Manufacturing Engineering and Test Solutions department.
- Supporting NPD process on the suitability of designs for automated assembly and test.
- Ensure equipment is designed to be ergonomically suitable for operators.
- Producing and supporting any equipment or processes required internally and for external partners.
- Maintaining departmental documentation and ensure it is available for inspection.
- Working strictly within the Departmental and Company Operating Procedures.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Solidworks CAD software user
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience in identifying the root cause to problems and implement long term solutions
- Any experience in automation would be advantageous
