This post covers central Scotland, South Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and National services. Post will be based in Motherwell however location may be elsewhere depending on the needs of the business. Internal applications will be considered as a secondment. 

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to supervise and manage the staff team and operations within some of our Community Justice Services in Scotland, for an initial 12 months in the first instance. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, albeit the role will include work across all areas of operation within Sacro.

The services will include working across existing services and in the development and delivery of new services cantered on helping people with a justice needs, recovery needs and areas to maintain or improve their quality of life. This can enable them to have meaningful and positive involvement and participation in their local communities. This post will be working across justice areas that have a public health approach to behaviour change and support recovery.

Responsible to the Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations ensuring that a high-quality service is provided. Knowledge and experience of justice as well as addictions, mental health and recovery approach in Scotland are essential. Duties include line management of service staff, selection and recruitment of staff and volunteers, payroll duties and responsibility for managing a caseload.

You will be a creative self-starter with excellent organisational and communications skills. The ability to use initiative and organise workload within a pressurised environment is essential. The successful applicant will be flexible and imaginative in their approach and sensitive and confident in their ability to help service users and staff steer their way through difficult situations. Those with lived experience are also encouraged to apply.

Evidence of supervising and managing teams is also required.

Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) will be a requirement for this post.
