We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate, motivated and dynamic Student Attendance Manager.  The purpose of this role is to work with families and students to overcome barriers to attendance and to engage them in their learning and achieving well.  You will share an understanding that all members of staff have a collective responsibility for engendering a culture of success and a belief that all students can achieve.

The main responsibilities of this post are to:

• Analyse attendance data to maximise student attendance in school.  This will include working with school staff to identity students who are absent or truant, contacting parents/carers by phone, conducting investigations to locate truant students and enforcing compliance of applicable laws, codes and requirements
• Ensure that student data is up to date and accurate
• Understand the role staff play in safeguarding young people
• Work closely with the Student Attendance Administrator to fulfil statutory attendance requirements
