In addition to working on some of the agency’s larger clients, you have the responsibility of running smaller projects on a more independent basis (albeit liaising with your Design Director), and working closely with your client’s account management team.
In detail
Participate in the creative work of your team, with the support of your Creative Director.
- Work on a number of different client and internal jobs at any time.
- Together with your Creative Director and client services leads, actively participate at the briefing stages to develop accurate interpretations of the client briefs.
- Establish design direction and provide ongoing guidance and encouragement on all those jobs you are actively involved with to both your fellow team members and the production team.
- Ensure the creation of your design work/files meet the criteria set by Parker Williams.
- When freelancers are working with you on your projects, please make sure they adhere to Parker Williams processes.
- Be prepared to go above and beyond to stretch your own creative capabilities. Think of all your projects as potential award winners!
You and your wider team
You will be able to work as part of a team, supporting other team members. Your mature approach to working collaboratively as well as individually is what makes you shine.
- Work with other designers in creating design work that answers the client’s brief
- Be prepared to take on board the creative direction of your Creative Director, but also offer respectful challenge where appropriate.
- Be proactively supportive of your peers and your seniors taking into consideration client pressures, individual workloads and capabilities - assist in the creation of the work where you feel it is needed/appropriate
- Flag in advance where further support is needed.
Client relationships
Working with your Creative Director and your client services lead, you help create positive experiences for clients so that they keep coming back to us, wherever they are working. Where your projects might require direct contact with clients, you have open conversations with them, sharing solutions for their concerns about the creative work.
- When appropriate, take an active role in client meetings, helping to persuasively present creative work to clients, taking a lead role in conversations about how it fits with the client’s brief (occasionally sharing requested routes we disagree with in order to make the point); defending work and guiding decisions as needed.
- Have a good understanding of Parker Williams Bright Thinking tools and techniques.
