The Enterprise Co-ordinator (EC) sits at the heart of the local Enterprise Adviser Network (EAN) in order to help schools and colleges in Milton Keynes improve their careers and enterprise activities and to engage with the world of work. The EC will make it easier for employers to engage with schools and colleges through building networks, supporting careers leaders and backing the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Through establishing the local and national contexts the EC will focus everyone’s efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes for young people.

This position will be located and focused within Milton Keynes, working alongside ECs in Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Luton and the SEMLEP Employment and Skills Manager. The post is funded by The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) via the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) initially until 31st August 2022 with the potential for further years subject to funding.

MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability or any other individual characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from people with backgrounds which are currently under-represented within Milton Keynes College.  All offers made to successful candidates are subject to satisfactory outcomes to a range of pre-employment checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).   In addition, security clearance is required for all prison services positions up to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level.
