Fixed term contract until March 2023
We are seeking a Project Administrator to provide essential administrative support to both the V&A East Project Director and Chief Curator. This is a unique opportunity to be involved at the heart of the Museum’s project activity, as it embarks on the design and construction of a new museum on the Stratford Waterfront and the relocation of its Blythe House stores. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for this project, and join a busy and committed team whilst gaining exposure to a wide range of projects and Museum activity.
V&A East will be part of the new educational and cultural district being developed at Stratford Waterfront in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, East London. The seven-storey building will be a brand new space for people to gather, to understand, interrogate and explore the designed world. It will use the V&A’s collections and expertise to provide fast, enlightening responses to current affairs, and will be a place to encounter objects in new ways; to play, make, debate and take part, as well as look, think, relax and be entertained. Closely linked with this project is the planning of relocation of museum’s storage facilities, currently housed in Blythe House, Olympia, as the museum is exploring a range of options for creating a new, accessible collections facility in East London.
Closing date for applications is Midnight 28 November 2018 Interviews will be held on week commencing 10 December 2018
