The V&A is the world's leading museum of art and design. We enrich people's lives by promoting the practice of design and increasing knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the designed world to the widest possible audience. Interpretation is essential to this mission, and we are now looking for a creative and skilled Senior Interpretation Producer to join the Interpretation Team. This is a role for a highly-motivated individual with experience of developing and delivering innovative interpretation in museums, galleries and/or cultural heritage sites for a wide range of audiences.

The post holder will act as lead interpretation producer on FuturePlan projects and internal V&A galleries, creating schemes that are meaningful, relevant and above all, inspiring, in line with the V&A’s promise to provide experiences that intrigue and illuminate, encourage discovery and prompt enjoyment. The Senior Interpretation Producer will ensure interpretation is formed on an ‘audience first’ basis by commissioning and co-ordinating a programme of research and evaluation to actively shape the development of future V&A galleries. A key element of this work will be to explore interpretive provision for families, identifying sector-leading methods for providing appropriate and imaginative intergenerational experiences.

This exciting position requires the ability to seize initiative and work pro-actively across the V&A departments and sites, with a range of colleagues including curatorial, design and digital, to meet and deliver our mission for trailblazing interpretation.

Interviews to be held Friday, 15 June 2018.
