Due to the success and growth of Renewables EDS we are looking for experienced High Voltage Jointers to join us on a <u style="font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-spacing: 0px;">contracting</u> basis. As a High Voltage Jointer, you will carry out a range of termination and testing activities both onshore and offshore, utilising different techniques and equipment.  You will also play a key role in delivering the EDS high standards and delivering excellent service to the client.

The ideal candidate will be a, highly skilled HV jointer who takes great pride in their work.  They will be a leader who is passionate about renewable energy and about supporting the EDS vision of a world where the future of renewable wind energy is secure.

As we serve clients across Europe and beyond, willingness to travel is essential.  You will need to maintain relevant training which allows access to onshore and offshore environments. You will need to maintain a level of health and fitness in order to be classed as fit by an authorised doctor to carry out such tasks.

Main responsibilities of the role:

·              Termination and testing activities both onshore and offshore, utilising different techniques and equipment. 

·              Competent completion of jointing, terminations and testing of the cables, joints and other accessories.   This will include a range of products including (but not exclusive to) T-connectors, straight joints and subsea joints.

·              Relevant onshore works, including TJB/substation activities.

·             Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety Practices at all times.

·              Assisting in the maintenance and serviceability of EDS tools and equipment

·              Precision preparation of HV power Cores in line with jointing instructions

·              Fitment of HV accessories in line with manufactures instructions

·              Conducting VLF, DAC, IR, CR & TDR testing as required

·              Supporting other EDS departments (within the scope of your expertise) as and when required

·              Any other duties required that will help to further the goals of the Terminations and Testing Business Unit.

·              Upholding the James Fisher values of: pioneering spirit, integrity, energy and resilience

Essential

·              Previous relevant experience in the installation of various T-connectors HP Connectors and joints

·              Demonstrable experience in similar role or position

·              Extensive knowledge of termination and testing processes of HV power cores

·              Relevant Accessory provider training for 33 / 66kV and above

·              Delivery focused and committed to the achievement of project/company goals

·              Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise with people at all levels both internally and externally

·              Full GWO certification

·              Valid clean driving license

·              Valid Passport
