Grounds Person

NJC 2 (actual salary £9,573 per annum)

20 hours per week (Monday – Friday 1:00pm-5:00pm) 

Heanor Gate Science College, situated on the Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire border is a ‘good’ school (Ofsted March 2017) with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development. 

We are looking to appoint a Grounds Person to be responsible for keeping the school site and direct local surrounding area in a presentable state.  Duties will include:

  • Litter picking
  • Clearing of leaves
  • Gritting (during bad weather)
  • Clearing of guttering and drains
  • Hedge cutting

Applicants would be expected to share the Trust’s high aspirations and expectations for pupils and staff.
