Hours: 1x 10 hour position, working Saturday and Sunday
            1x 16 hour position, working Saturday, Sunday and one other day in the week

 

The Company

Graham & Brown is an international wall decoration group that has been innovating the home improvement market for 70 years with British-made, design-led products. Our new Outlet in Princes Quay, Hull is now recruiting for Weekend Retail Sales Advisors to join our small and friendly team.

What We Are Looking for:

We are looking for professionals who can deliver a first class customer service experience and who are passionate about our products.

We have the following positions available:

  • 1 x Weekend Retail Sales Advisor (10 hours per week)
  • 1 x Part Time Sales Advisor, working both weekend days plus one other day in the week (16 hours per week)
These roles will involve working every weekend. We are particulary interested to hear from candidates who would have the ability to work additional hours to cover periods of absence or holiday.

 

Purpose of the Weekend Retail Sales Advisor:

As part of this small and dedicated team, you will maximise sales and profitability of the Outlet by offering an outstanding customer experience and ensuring that the Outlet is well stocked and presented at all times. You will be self-motivated and passionate about our products with the desire to deliver exceptional results. This is a hands on role that enables a great deal of customer interaction on a daily basis.

  

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • The successful Weekend Retail Sales Advisor will ensure that all customers receive an industry-leading customer service experience during all aspects of their contact (in person, by phone or by email).
  • Exemplary standards will be maintained throughout the Outlet with regards to both appearance and cleanliness.
  • To ensure that all products are displayed to their maximum potential and that stock is maintained to an agreed level within the outlet.
  • All products will be priced clearly and correctly, following both company and trading standards guidelines.
  • You will adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the outlet ensuring the safety of both staff and customers alike, whilst also protecting company assets by following the security guidelines.
  • Outlet takings will be balanced on a daily basis and any shortfalls will be communicated and fully investigated using company guidelines.
  • You will make sure all discounts are applied correctly through the till system, ensuring that discount codes are not misused in any way.
  • To work effectively as a team to ensure that budgets and objectives are achieved on a monthly basis.

 

Decision Making Skills Required

  • You will have the ability to make commercially responsible decisions during the day-to-day operations of the Outlet and work unsupervised.
  • You will be able to deal effectively with customer queries and complaints in a professional manner, whilst showing empathy, understanding and protecting the brand.
  • You will ensure that all activities do not jeopardise any trading relationships with account partners. All concerns of this matter should be directed to line management.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed

 

  • Retail and/or general business awareness.
  • Customer service experience and a vision of what makes excellent customer service.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good knowledge of local area.
  • Character/Personal traits – confident, approachable a ‘people person’.
