Higher Level Teaching Assistant

 

12 hours per week (4 afternoons) term time only

Grade 4 SCP 12 – 16 (£22183 FTE) pro rata

We are seeking to appoint a talented and highly motivated HLTA to work across our primary school teaching Art.

Applicants should:

  • Be an effective classroom practitioner
  • Have experience and knowledge of the teaching of phonics
  • Be a professional who enjoys motivating and exciting children about learning
  • Be a passionate reader who is able to support and engage the most disaffected readers
  • Be organised, self motivated and able to utilise programmes and systems to monitor and maximise progress

Applicants must hold the Higher Level Teaching Assistant certificate, or equivalent.

You will be required to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve: planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups and/or classes; the assessment and monitoring of pupils and recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
