DriveSafe is a key partner of Safer Roads Greater Manchester, a multi-agency partnership committed to reducing the numbers of fatalities and injuries on Greater Manchester's roads, by changing driver attitudes and behaviour. We are responsible for delivering the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (such as Speed Awareness Courses) on behalf of Greater Manchester Police.

This is a busy and exciting time for us as new driver retraining courses are launched and our business grows.

As a Business Support Officer, you will form part of the DriveSafe team within Transport for Greater Manchester. You will be part of a busy dynamic team with a varied skill set undertaking a wide range of administrative duties including: processing course bookings and queries from our clients over the phone, online and by post, processing payments and financial reconciliation, booking our Trainers, arranging course venues and liaising with our stakeholders.

We currently have a part-time vacancy and full-time vacancy available. The full-time position will require you to work 37 hours per week between 7:45am and 5:45pm Monday to Friday depending on business needs. Our part-time position is 15 hours per week working Thursday and Friday 8:15am - 3:45pm.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of dealing with interactions with the public which may at times be challenging and be able to deliver outstanding customer service at all times. You will have knowledge of the General Data Protection act and have experience of working with policies and procedures and have excellent IT skills and experience of engaging with clients with a range of needs.

The salary for the full- time position is £21,214 - £22,947 per annum and the salary for the part–time position is £8,600 - £9,302 per annum. Salary on appointment will be dependent on your skills and experience. In return, as well as a competitive salary, we also offer a range of fantastic benefits, such as:
