We are seeking a Director of Guidance and University and Relations to oversee and provide leadership to the Guidance and University Relations department supporting students in grade 7 - 12. Leading a team of Guidance and University Relations Counsellors, the successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for girls’ education and a proven ability to build a caring rapport with students in order to provide Middle and Senior School students with emotional, social, educational, career and post-secondary planning support. As an Administrator at the school, the Director position is a 12-month, full-time position.

The role of Director, Guidance and University Relations includes responsibilities in the following key areas:

  • Promoting girls’ well-being, confidence, self-awareness and knowledge of their current and post-secondary goals in collaboration with other key stakeholders;
  • Ensuring strong relationships with universities and alumnae;
  • Developing and providing leadership in guidance curriculum;
  • Developing a strong and effective team that works collaboratively and supports other departments in the school;
  • Overseeing daily operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A university degree with a qualification in education, with a specialist in Guidance;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in all aspects of high school counselling, including leadership experience;
  • Experience with the IB program;
  • Superior knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and OSSD;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport;
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
