We are seeking to appoint various Classroom Assistant/Teaching Assistant roles within Churchill Park Academy.  There are 4 roles available please specify which role you are applying for in the personal specification section:

•    1 x Classroom Assistant /Teaching Assistant Fixed term contract for 1 year until July 2022
•    1 x Classroom Assistant /Teaching Assistant Permanent
•    1 Classroom Assistant /Teaching Assistant Pupil Specific
•    1 Classroom Assistant/Teaching Assistant, Fixed Term Contract until April 2022

Located in a modern building, Churchill Park Academy is an Ofsted Good, all through mixed special school, catering for children and young people of West Norfolk with complex needs. We currently have 220 students on roll.  In June 2021 Churchill Park Academy became part of Unity Education Trust.

The successful candidates will have the ability to form positive relationships with children and young people and be committed to ensuring they have the very best support to learn. We are looking for someone who is confident, energetic, and open minded. Experience of working in a special school is not essential. Candidates must be able to empathise with young people who have a range of complex needs and all age groups. 

Churchill Park Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and to undertake a DBS check. 

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations

Suitable candidates will be able to work well under their own initiative and have high levels of resilience, excellent ICT and administrative skills and an exemplary attendance record.
