The family programme at the V&A fosters imagination, creativity and intergenerational play using the V&A and its collections. The family programme is a catalyst for imaginative enquiry, through partnerships and diverse practitioners, to deliver thought-provoking and multisensory activities. The programme is sociable and encourages collaboration, enabling families to make connections that are relevant to them. The programme provides moments of wonder and awe for families that often disrupts the museum and provides playful moments and designerly learning opportunities for the whole family.
The post holder will be responsible for strategically delivering and implementing the Families’ Programme. The post holder will have particular expertise and experience in creative learning in order to develop flagship programmes for children and families. The portfolio includes but is not limited to: workshops, self-led activities, performances, online events, digital content and large scale events. They will work to bring diverse narratives into the programme and deliver relevant learning events for a wide range of children and their families.
