Warehouse/Workshop Logistics Manager

OVERVIEW: This will be a hands-on role, for which you will possess previous relevant experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of all aspects of workshop/warehouse operations, stock control and health and safety requirements.  You will be responsible for managing the logistical requirements for the UK and European Shop and Space Planning Team, delivering an end to end service to support shop fit outs and furniture roll outs.

We are looking for a self driven individual with great communication and organisational skills who is adaptable, and works calmly under pressure and is inspired to work to a high standard to meet the team's deadlines. You will be the Gate Keeper of quality to ensure that value is delivered and the entire team is proud of their projects.

Logistics 

  • Have previous experience working in logistics 
  • Delivering excellent customer service representing the team. 
  • Provide efficient assistance to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Communicate with export related authorities, customers and suppliers in relevant territories 
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure we maximise fulfilment, despatch orders on time and deliver 5* at all times
  • Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials using compliant, green and cost effective methods.
  • Problem solve any disruption or potential delays in the supply chain, communicating to relevant stakeholders with a solution focused approach
  • Generate bespoke reports, analysis and complete regular audits 
  • Review and strengthen environmental practices within goods imported and exported 
  • Support and build portfolio of delivery and carrier services aligning with our green initiatives 
  • Make sure compliance is maintained with company policies, procedures, processes and standards
  • Confident making final decisions on the movements/timelines of goods in and out 

Warehouse Operations

  • Maintain clear and accurate operational documents for all work undertaken, tracking and reporting costs to the relevant team
  • Support the maintenance and growth of the departments organisational strategy for all in house furniture manufacturing, props and equipment for shop fits and roll outs 
  • Provide creative solutions to storage capacity during  peak times
  • The ability to multi-task and effectively manage daily workload, while maintaining strong performance against objectives 
  • Good working knowledge of the technical requirements and demands of the team 
  • Support the control of costs and holdings of build materials, managing stock for these collaboratively within the team
  • Maintain an inventory of all reusable items and share with the wider business

People Management 

  • Effectively communicate with all team members and internal project stakeholders
  • Support and build a talent pool of external carpenters/contractors we can utilise if and when required. 
  • Support and maintain high levels of safety throughout the Workshop/Warehouse with support from the Lush H&S Team
  • Liaison with Carpenters, and Operatives regarding daily workload 
  • Electronic data management and filing of job records and other documentation as required
  • Assist workshop and warehouse team in troubleshooting
  • Work with all members of the team to prioritise jobs based on business priorities
  • Manage and update our project trackers whilst liaising with the Carpenter, Operatives, and Producers 
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service 
  • Be resourceful, proactive, and work to improve future service, processes and team development
