The Digital Media department looks after the internal and external digital needs of the museum. From touch-points through to APIs and responsive websites, the digital presence of the V&A museum is our responsibility. Following an extensive rethink project in 2016, we are continuously looking to improve and remain modern and digital.

The Full Stack Developer is a key role within the Digital Media team. You will be responsible for writing code across the whole stack - providing input and feedback on our designs, the coding standards and the architecture, deployment and roadmap. Excellent knowledge of multiple languages and frameworks including Rails, Python, React, AWS, Github, CircleCI, is essential, as is the ability to understand how each system integrates.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and data-driven thinker, self motivated, with prior experience in web development.

You should have at least 2-4 years experience of developing software, releasing products and working as part of a small agile team to continue developing in line with modern web practices.

You should also be comfortable thinking of full stack development not only in terms of front and back end but also from prototyping to launch, analytics, a/b testing and performance monitoring
