Do you have the resilience and motivational and inspiring personality it takes to bring a rapid response to a vital service aimed at London’s rough sleepers? Then, the No Second Night Out (NSNO) scheme could be your ideal next move.

Managed by St Mungo’s on behalf of the Greater London Authority, NSNO focuses on helping people who are new to rough sleeping on the streets of London. Our challenge is to help them off the streets quickly and, through our assessment hubs, help them find alternative accommodation so they don’t have to sleep out for a second night.

We are currently looking for more exceptional individuals to help us continue to deliver a truly effective NSNO Assessment and Reconnection Service. Your focus will be on carrying out comprehensive new rough sleeper client assessments and quickly helping to reconnect them with supported networks in their home area or where they have a proven link. We’ll also rely on you to provide each client with personalised case management support and turn their assessment into a practical action plan that fully involves them.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the needs of street homeless people. However, what’s more important is your systematic; yet at the same time flexible approach and ability to work collaboratively with others. Strong communication, influencing and reasoning skills are also key, as is a flair for solving problems. Other qualities include knowing how to network and build effective relationships with people at every level.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and flexible working to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.

Flexibility is required, as you will be working a weekly staff night shift rota.
