At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
We’re looking to recruit a dynamic Work Coordinator to join the service to provide Education, Training and Employment (ETE) support to clients. ETE focuses on increasing employability and creating employment, training and volunteering outcomes for clients with a broad range of needs and abilities.
The role of the Work Coordinator is to support clients who are living or have links to the borough of Southwark. The role is to identify, address and help clients to overcome obstacles to progress in terms of ETE.
The Work Coordinator will act as a first point of contact for individuals seeking support to get into suitable and sustainable employment. Staff will work with individuals to plan personalised support interventions, set goals, link in to education, training and employment opportunities,
Also the Work Coordinator will work with various stake holders to generate referrals, build relationship to benefit the clients for their ETE progression. The role will also involve working closely with Southwark council to update and report on the progression of the project.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development
If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
