As a Trainee Engineering Technician, you will rotate through the Maintenance, Production and Test Support Engineering teams to develop skills and gain knowledge across the engineering spectrum.

We will underpin on the job learning through formal day release training, tailored to your previous experience, at a local technical college. Our aim is to help you to reach Higher Nation Diploma (Level 5 qualification) in an engineering discipline to which you are best suited and in line with our business requirements.

Every day we will aim to develop and stretch you to ensure that you reach your full potential. As you gain experience you will be entrusted to work independently taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy and delivery of tasks you are given.   

We will encourage you to question and examine everything as we want to help you to become proactive in finding solutions and identifying areas for improvement. This will develop your innovation mindset and help drive our business forward.

The Trainee Engineering Technician is the first step in your engineering future within a company that has a global reach. At Apollo we believe that ceilings are for our smoke detectors not your aspirations.

Essential Skills

  • 5 GCSE's at grade C (4) or above (or equivalents) including Maths and English.
  • Motivated and driven to reach your potential.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Have good numerical, logical, organisational and analytical skills.

Desirable Skills

  • IT literate.
  • Organised and able work in a tidy, professional manner.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Take a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Possess good interpersonal and written writing skills
