The Short Stay School for Norfolk is a single countywide institution which meets the needs of a diverse cohort of vulnerable and challenging young people from 8 physical locations. The majority of our young people have been permanently excluded from school and are preparing for an onward transition to a new school or specialist provision.
We are seeking to employ an Intervention Coach for Teaching and Learning funded by Pupil Premium. This role will be to coordinate and deliver effective cognition and learning interventions on a 1:1 basis and small group basis to improve pupil outcomes and progress.

Suitable candidates will be able to work well under their own initiative and have high levels of resilience, excellent ICT and administrative skills and an exemplary attendance record.

Please note that this role is base at Locksley School, Norwich however, you will be required to drive to other bases across the Trust.

Necessary Experience

• Good standard of Education (Level 3) together with good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent). 
• At least 2 years’ experience of working closely with SEND in an educational setting 
• Knowledge and experience of using intervention resources such as Arrow and Lexia
• Knowledge and experience of using Thrive 
• Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to SEND, Safeguarding and Teaching and Learning 
• Knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with English as an additional language 
• Ability to relate well with children and communicate diplomatically and tactfully with adults (e.g. parents)
• Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
