Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant

TA Salary: Scale D 17.50 Hours per week, Term-Time plus one week
MSA Salary: Scale A 5 hours per week, Term Time

Required to start as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint an energetic, inspiring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can help children to succeed in their classrooms and is committed to ‘going the extra mile’ to ensure that our inclusive ethos is a reality. We expect the Teaching Asistant to support with class-based learning and small group learning intervention; always with a focus of high expectations. 

The role will also include an hour a day working as a Midday Supervisory Assistant. This would invole setting up and clearing away the dining facilities, supporting children in the dining hall and facilitating lunchtime games on the playground.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a good understanding of what it means to safeguard children
  • Be able to establish good relationships with children and staff
  • Demonstrate the desire and capability to support children with SEND to reach their full potential
  • Act as a positive role model and be professional in conduct
  • Be aware of and respond to the children’s individual needs
  • Have strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be first aid trained / willing to undertake training
  • Have a sense of humour and a desire to support the wider life of school
