The Team

This strong team of 7 looks after all the Finances of our UK Manufacturing. We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join us on a 4-month contract. 

Responsibilities:

  • Checking and accurately recording invoices on the accounts system
  • Checking of pricing and gaining authorisation for all invoices
  • Keeping supplier accounts up to date
  • Creating payments through the bank for the Finance Manager to authorise
  • Preparing weekly payment runs
  • Sending of payment remits to suppliers
  • Reconciling Supplier statements
  • Monitoring & reporting on AP Aging and GRNI balances
  • Assisting Suppliers with invoice queries
  • Assisting users of the workflow system with queries 

Skills and experience:

  • Bright, enthusiastic, ambitious, and confident
  • 1 years experience in purchase ledger or finance background is preferred but not essential
  • Strong Excel/I.T/on-line banking skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to deal with and prioritise a busy workload
  • Friendly telephone manner
