Sales Advisor – Weybridge, Cane Adam

Part Time: average 22 hours per week.

Working 7am to 5pm Thursday and Friday, and 8am to 5pm every alternate Saturday.

We aim to be the first choice for the professional Decorator, and also enjoy a growing base of retail customers who value our quality products, advice and excellent service. We are continuing to grow and have plans to open new branches to complement our existing network.

Cane Adam in Weybridge stocks not just a fantastic range of designer paints and trade paints for professionals, but all sorts of decorating and surface preparation essentials, woodcare products and even power tools! Our branch has built a strong profile since opening up in 1985, serving Weybridge decorators and keen DIY'ers for decades. For decades, our staff have been recommending the right products and giving expert advice to customers in store - it's part of our commitment to outstanding customer service. organised and busy place to work.

We are recruiting for a friendly and reliable Part-time Sales Advisor to join our busy Cane Adam Weybridge branch. You'll be a welcoming and knowledgeable presence, helping customers find what they want. You will be working alongside an effective team with a supportive Manager. This store offers a warm, organised and busy place to work.

We are looking for someone with a great approach to customer service, an understanding on the importance of achieving sales targets and a desire to learn about our business and products. It would be a great advantage if you have some experience in the products we sell, either having worked in a similar retail environment, a related field or a keen amateur DIY’er, but this isn't necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.

As a Sales Advisor in our branch in Weybridge branch, you will:

  • Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality service
  • Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs
  • Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
  • Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
  • Accept goods into the premises and accurately check them against branch orders/delivery notes
  • Work with the team to develop sales through promoting special offers, appropriate merchandising of goods in-store to increase visibility and sales, and recommending relevant products to complement existing sales

Who we are looking for to join our team:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand customer requirements and provide recommendations
  • Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
  • Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can be relied upon to work as an individual at all times
  • Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
  • Experience with paints, decorating materials, or working in a Builders Merchant is desirable
  • Product knowledge, previous retail experience or experience in a decorator’s merchant would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate.
  • A driving license to enable you to cover drivers holidays and sickness would be advantageous but is not essential.
