Job Purpose 

Responsible for establishing and managing the core finance functions and ensures the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to internal and external stakeholders

Principal Accountabilities

  • Supporting the FD across all areas, and daily management of the finance support team;
  • Production of timely and robust consolidated monthly management accounts, reporting against KPIs, budget and regularly updated forecasts, together with any other management information required by the board in line with PLC requirements and deadlines;
  • Responsible for control and management of overheads and capital expenditure;
  • Improvement in, and development of, systems and processes that underpin the financial results, including product and project costing & detailed project reporting to clients as well as project reporting;
  • Central debt control and cash management, together with working capital management of subsidiary operations;
  • Statutory reporting, including HMRC compliance, statutory accounts and Company Secretarial reporting;
  • Maintain (and improve where appropriate) a robust control environment;
  • Provide proper and effective support to each of the operating companies;
  • Liaise with both internal and external auditors to ensure timely and successful completion of audits;
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of tax reporting to applicable Tax Authorities and group tax advisors;
  • Any other duties and ad-hoc tasks required to support the finance function and delivery of financial information to stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • 2 years + experience post qualification in ACA / ACCA / CIMA;
  • Experience in managing and developing a small team;
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and highly proficient in use of other Microsoft Office packages;
  • Knowledge and experience in using ERP systems;

Contract type: Permanent / full-time. We offer flexibility to work both in the office and from home
