International Manager

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £29,209 to £32,069 per annum. Plus generous benefits. These include: 

•    43 days annual leave per year pro rata (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) 
•    Generous Occupational Pension Scheme

About the role
This is a critically important role responsible for oversight of our cohort of International students. Working with our Heads of Curriculum, you will seek to expand our international activity, ensuring that our marketing and recruitment processes are effective in attracting and retaining International Students. You will also ensure that we comply with UK Visa and Immigration requirements and maintain the college’s sponsor licence. 

You will work with colleagues to ensure international students receive appropriate Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) prior to and during the application process, an appropriate induction experience, and receive all necessary welfare and support services. You will also have oversight of the recruitment and management of homestay hosts, making sure that International Students’ accommodation complies with all related legislation, and provide appropriate support to our homestay providers where required. 
 
About the Person
You will have experience of working with International students; experience of customer service and providing advice and guidance to both internal and external partners; project management experience or experience of organising events; have a working knowledge of visa processes relating to International students; and be sensitive and welcoming of people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

1.    The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 


The College is exempt from the provisions of the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, by virtue of the fact that postholders have access to children and young people, and to vulnerable adults.

We take the safety of our learners extremely seriously, and to ensure no unsuitable persons are employed, all successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, regardless of the role they undertake. For regulated roles (e.g. those roles providing teaching, training, instructing, advice and guidance, or supervision of children, or providing personal care to vulnerable adults) it is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or to vulnerable adults.
