Payments Assistant
London
£21,544 - £24,135 per annum
37.5 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen to be part of our finance team, providing a vital part of St Mungo’s services to clients by taking responsibility for the purchase ledger.
In this busy role you will log and route invoices to approvers for authorisation and coding and match invoices to purchase orders and good received notes. You will also liaise with our suppliers and internal staff to ensure invoices are paid promptly and within terms, resolving any queries and reconciling supplier accounts.
Ensuring suppliers are paid on-time helps St Mungo’s hostel managers and staff to have the resources they need to support people to recover from homelessness.
If you enjoy working with figures, have an eye for detail, have good spreadsheet skills and are ready for the challenges of working in a finance team processing a high volume of payments then we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a good team player who will take responsibility for investigating and resolving queries and issues for budget holders, and ensuring a high quality of customer service to anyone contacting the payments team.
This is a great entry level role for someone interested in developing their career in a finance team.
Closing Date for Applications: 10am on Mon 8 January 2018
Tests and Interviews: w/c 15 January 2018
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
